The luxury house and the ready-to-wear brand, which signed a ten-year collaboration with Kanye West’s fashion label, are celebrating their first drop with the release of gaming content.

If Balenciaga recently put the revival of its Haute Couture heritage on the front of the stage with the opening of a dedicated boutique, the brand does not forget its inclinations. street style inspired by Demna Gvasalia, its artistic director since 2015.
On the occasion of its collaboration with the consumer brand Gap and the Yeezy label operated by singer and producer Kanye West, the brand is now inaugurating a video game accessible only via mobile. Here, the player is invited to choose his avatar: sex, skin color and silhouette inspired, of course, by the different looks of the capsule. He then has to move through an obstacle course and navigate vertically in the sky avoiding birds in order to collect as many points as possible.
The launch of the collection Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga was notably the subject of a launch device in New York where fans were able to try out the game on giant screens in a pop-up area located in the flagship Gap in Times Square.
The luxury house announced its collaboration with Yeezy and Gap last January, evoking a two-part partnership including a first summer drop followed by the release of a second capsule later in the year.
Note that Balenciaga had already dabbled in the world of gaming by launching its own video game “Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow” at the end of 2020.
